Georgia State Schedules Two Future FCS Opponents

Georgia State will play Rhode Island in 2023 and Chattanooga in 2024 per an announcement from the school.

The 2023 game against Rhode Island is scheduled for Saturday, September 2 with a guarantee of $375,000 per FBSchedules. The two teams met in 2012, Georgia State’s lone season as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association. The Panthers won 41-7 for their only victory on the season.

The contest versus Chattanooga is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2024. Chattanooga has a guarantee of $325,000 for the game. The two teams met in 2013 when Georgia State was transitioning to the FBS. The Mocs won handily 42-14.

Georgia State opens the 2020 season against Murray State on September 5. They do not have an FCS opponent scheduled for 2021 or 2022.
