Missouri State Makes Two Scheduling Moves

Missouri State has made one addition and one change to its future schedules. The first news is that the Bears and Kansas Jayhawks are scheduled to meet on Saturday, September 4, 2027 in Lawrence, Kansas according to FBSchedules.

Missouri State will receive a guarantee of $500,000 for the game. The Bears and Jayhawks met previously in 2001 and 2002 with Kansas winning both contests (page 73).

The other news was that Missouri State and Kennesaw State will play on Saturday, September 20, 2025 according to a new contract. The Owls will host that matchup. The game was previously scheduled for this season but a change was so Missouri State could take on Tarleton State.

Kansas has a few FCS opponents on its future schedules. They take on New Hampshire (2020), South Dakota (2021), and Stephen F. Austin (2025) in addition to Missouri State in 2027.

Missouri State has FBS opponents Oklahoma (2020), Oklahoma State (2021), Arkansas (2022), and Missouri (2029) on its future schedules.

The Jayhawks are scheduled to start the upcoming season against the aforementioned New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday, September 5 while Missouri State travels to take on Oklahoma the same day.
