Florida A&M and Troy will meet on the football field in 2024 according to an announcement from both schools. The game is scheduled for Saturday, August 31 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama.
The Rattlers and Trojans have met six times since 1984. Troy won the first meeting 17-3 en route to capturing the 1984 Division II National Championship. The pair met three times in the I-AA Playoffs in 1996, 1998, and 1999. Troy captured the first game while the Rattlers won the last two. Troy has won the last two meetings in 2002 and 2018.
Florida A&M is the third FCS opponent on Troy’s future schedules. They will also play Arkansas-Pine Bluff in 2020 and Southern in 2021.
For Florida A&M, Troy represents the first FBS on their future schedules outside the state of Florida. The Rattlers will face Central Florida (2020), South Florida (2021 and 2027), the Miami Hurricanes (2024 and 2026), and Florida (2025).
