The 2010s were simply dominated by one team: North Dakota State. The Bison won EIGHT, 8 (!!) of the 10 FCS National Championships played in the decade. The other two FCS titles were won by Eastern Washington in 2010 and James Madison in 2016. The Bison faced six different opponents in the FCS title game – Sam Houston State (2011 and 2012), Towson (2013), Illinois State (2014), Jacksonville State (2015), James Madison (2017 and 2019), and Eastern Washington (2018).
