Alabama A&M Switches September 14 Opponent

Alabama A&M has changed its opponent for their home game on Saturday, September 14. The Bulldogs will now play the NAIA’s Georgetown (Kentucky) Tigers out of the Mid-South Conference in the first matchup between the two schools. Alabama A&M was originally scheduled to host Fayetteville State from the NCAA Division II Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).

The Tigers are not the only non-Division I opponent scheduled to face Alabama A&M. The Bulldogs will take on Kentucky State from the Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) a week prior to Georgetown’s visit. The Bulldogs’ other two non-conference games are on the road against Auburn on Saturday, August 31 and Austin Peay on Saturday, September 21.

Alabama A&M is one of 42 FCS programs scheduled to play non-Division I opponents in 2024. At the time of posting, 51 such games have been scheduled for the upcoming 2024 season.
