Monmouth (CAA) and Montana (Big Sky) are set to face off in 2028, according to FBSchedules. Montana will host the Hawks on Saturday, September 2, 2028, and will pay Monmouth $285,000 for the contest. The two schools have met once previously in 2019 when Montana won 47-27 in Missoula. It was revealed last week that Montana scheduled Incarnate Word for a home-and-home series that begins in 2028 when Montana will travel to San Antonio. The Grizzlies will host the second game of the series the following year.
Morgan State (MEAC) and Towson (CAA) will continue to meet annually in “The Battle for Greater Baltimore” through the 2031 season, per FBSchedules. The two programs began meeting each year in 2021 with Morgan State hosting that season followed by Towson hosting in 2022 and Morgan State hosting again in 2023. Towson won all three matchups and the two teams will alternate hosting each year with Towson back to hosting in 2024. Towson leads 22-6 in the overall series dating back to 1979 when Towson was a Division II program.
Stetson (Pioneer Football League) and UC Davis (Big Sky) have scheduled a 2026 matchup, as noted by FBSchdules. The two teams will meet on Saturday, September 19, 2026, with UC Davis hosting and paying Stetson $170,000 for the game. The two programs have never met before in football.
