Florida A&M (SWAC) is scheduled to host the Albany State Golden Rams in the 2025 season, according to ASU’s athletic site. The Rattlers will welcome the Golden Rams on Saturday, September 13. Albany State – located in Albany, Georgia – plays in the NCAA Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
Albany State and FAMU last met on September 10, 2022, when the Rattlers won 23-13. ASU took an early 7-0 lead but FAMU rallied to take a 17-7 lead by halftime. The Rattlers added two third quarter field goals to extend the lead to 23-7 with the Golden Rams scoring a late touchdown. Albany State finished the 2022 season with a 7-3 record while Florida A&M went 9-2.
The Golden Rams went 6-4 overall in 2024 while finishing in a three-way tie for 2nd place in the SIAC. FAMU had a similar season in 2024 going 7-5 overall and finishing in a tie for 2nd in the SWAC East with Alabama State. Florida A&M has not released its 2025 schedule but the Rattlers are scheduled to play South Alabama (Sun Belt) in the opener on Saturday, August 30.
