The Stetson Hatters (Pioneer Football League) added the Webber International Warriors for the 2025 season, according to WIU’s athletic site and first reported by FBSchedules. The two teams will square off to start the 2025 season on Saturday, August 30 with Stetson hosting in DeLand, Florida.
Webber International is a member of the NAIA’s Sun Conference. The 2025 matchup will be the third meeting between the schools with Stetson having won the previous two contests in 2015 (42-13) and 2023 (38-28). The Warriors went 5-5 season in 2024 while Stetson 2-9 overall and winless in the PFL. Former head coach Brian Young resigned after four seasons and Stetson hired Mike Jasper to replace him.
Stetson hasn’t released its 2025 schedule yet but two games are known. In addition to Jasper’s debut set against Webber International, the Hatters are slated to play at Chattanooga (SoCon) on Saturday, September 13.
