The Citadel Bulldogs (SoCon) have completed their 2025 schedule, which includes non-conference games against the Power 4 FBS opponent, an FCS powerhouse, and NCAA Division II runner-up.
The Bulldogs will start the season with a home game against defending FCS National Champion North Dakota State on Saturday, August 30 before quickly getting into SoCon action the following week at Samford on September 6. The Citadel will end September with a game at Gardner-Webb (OVC-Big South) and back-to-back conference games against Mercer at home and Chattanooga on the road.
The Citadel will have a bye week on October 4 followed by a visit from NCAA Division II Valdosta State on October 11. The Blazers are a member of the Gulf South Conference and reached the D-II National Championship in 2024 but lost to Ferris State 49-14. It will be the first football matchup between The Citadel and Valdosta State.
The Bulldogs round out October with a SoCon home game against Western Carolina on October 18 and a road trip to Furman on October 25. The Citadel starts November by hosting VMI in the Military Classic of the South and will play at Ole Miss (SEC) on November 8. The final two games will be homecoming versus Wofford on November 15 and the season finale at East Tennessee State on November 22.
