The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (SWAC) have announced their 2025 schedule. MVSU will play a 12-game schedule in 2025 featuring 11 FCS and one non-affiliated opponent. Mississippi Valley State went 1-11 overall in 2024 and replaced Kendrick Wade (2-21 in two seasons) with Terrell Buckley after the season.
MVSU will open the season against fellow SWAC member Southern in a non-conference game on August 30 followed by back-to-back road games at Southeastern Louisiana (Southland) on September 6 and Tarleton State (UAC) on September 13. After an open date on September 20, the Delta Devils will open SWAC play with back-to-back home games versus Texas Southern on September 27 and Florida A&M on October 4.
MVSU will have three road SWAC games in four weeks: Alabama A&M on October 11, Alcorn State on October 25, and Bethune-Cookman on November 1. The one non-SWAC matchup in that span is against Lincoln University Oaklanders (CA) on Saturday, October 18. The two teams have never met previously in football and Lincoln is 0-17 all-time versus FCS teams. The Oaklanders are also slated to play against Idaho State on September 20 and Alcorn State (SWAC) on October 11.
The Delta Devils will wrap up the season with a trifecta of games at home against Jackson State on November 8, at a neutral site in Mobile, Alabama against Alabama State in the Port City Classic on November 15, and at Prairie View A&M on November 22.
