North Carolina Central Releases 2025 Schedule, Adds Fayetteville State

The North Carolina Central Eagles (MEAC) have announced a 12-game schedule for the 2025 season. The Eagles went 8-3 overall and 4-1 in the MEAC last year. NCCU will start the 2025 season with a game against Southern (SWAC) in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, August 23, as part of the MEAC/SWAC Challenge.

Following a home game against New Hampshire (CAA) on August 30, NCCU will play at Old Dominion (Sun Belt) on September 6, and welcome NCAA Division II Fayetteville State on Saturday, September 13. The Broncos are a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and went 4-5 overall and 3-4 in the CIAA last season. NCCU and FSU haven’t met since 2012 when the Eagles won 54-31 to extend the all-time series lead to 25-9.

The Eagles will wrap up September with back-to-back road games against North Carolina A&T (CAA) on September 20 and East Texas A&M (Southland) on September 27. NCCU has a light October schedule with an open date on October 4, a road game at Florida A&M (SWAC), another open date on October 18, and its first MEAC matchup on October 25 at home versus Delaware State.

NCCU will round out its 2025 season with conference games at Howard on November 1, back-to-back home games against Norfolk State on November 8 and South Carolina State on November 15, and the regular season finale at Morgan State on November 22.
