The Presbyterian Blue Hose (PFL) added a 2025 contest against the Erskine Flying Fleet on Saturday, September 13, according to Erskine’s 2025 schedule release.
Erskine will play the 2025 season as a member of the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas, which is sponsoring football for the first time since 1974. Erskine shuttered its football program from 1952 through 2020 and played its first game since restarting the program in 2021 as an independent team. It spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons as a member of the South Atlantic Conference and joined the Gulf South Conference for one season in 2024.
Presbyterian and Erskine have met 33 previous times with the Blue Hose holding a commanding 30-2-1 lead in the series. The 2024 game was the first matchup since 1951 as Presbyterian won 31-14 at home. Presbyterian will start the season with back-to-back road contests against Southern Conference members Mercer on August 30 and Furman on September 6. Presbyterian will then host back-to-back home games against non-FCS opponents: Erskine on September 13 and Bluefield (NAIA) on September 20. There are 51 FCS versus Non-Division I games scheduled for the 2025 season with Presbyterian-Erskine now revealed.
