Merrimack Finalizes 2025 Schedule, Adds Saint Anselm

The Merrimack Warriors finalized its 2025 schedule, as it embarks on a second season as an FCS independent. Merrimack will play 11 opponents, including two FBS opponents and one NCAA Division II foe in the opening three games. Merrimack went 5-6 overall in 2024 in Mike Gennetti’s first season.

The season will start on Saturday, August 30 with a road game at Kent State (MAC). The following week, Saint Anselm will make the trip to North Andover to renew the former NCAA Division II Northeast-10 Conference matchup. Merrimack is 16-6 all-time against Saint Anselm in a series dating back to 1999. The Warriors won the most recent matchup 55-23 in 2021, which was the first matchup of the schools after Merrimack joined the FCS.

September will continue with another FBS opponent in Kennesaw State (C-USA) on Saturday, September 13. Merrimack will then play three of the next four games at home: home to Central Connecticut State (NEC) on Saturday, September 20, at Stony Brook (CAA) on Saturday, September 27, home to Robert Morris (NEC) on Saturday, October 4, and home to Maine (CAA) on Saturday, October 11.

After a nice run of home games, Merrimack will be on the road for three straight games with two bye weeks: at Harvard (Ivy League) on Saturday, October 18, a bye on Saturday, October 25, at Colgate (Patriot League) on Saturday, November 1, a bye on Saturday, November 8, and at Sacred Heart (FCS Independent) on Saturday, November 15. The season will end with a home matchup against Fordham (Patriot League) on Saturday, November 22.
