The William & Mary Tribe (CAA) announced future games against Richmond (Patriot League) and Stanford (ACC), as well as confirmed previously known games against FBS opponents.
The Tribe and Richmond agreed to a five-year extension of the “Capital Cup” series with Richmond from 2026 through 2030. Richmond holds a slight advantage in the series at 66-64-5 since the two teams first met in 1898. W&M is set to host Richmond on Saturday, November 22, in 2025 and the two teams will alternate hosting over the next five years. Richmond will host in 2026 (October 3), 2028 (September 16), and 2030 (September 7) with William & Mary hosting in 2027 (September 18) and 2029 (September 8).
William & Mary will also play at Stanford in 2030 in the first matchup between the schools. The Tribe will make the trip to California on October 5, in what will be the school’s first game in California. The school’s press release also notes that this is the furthest west the team has ever played. William & Mary also confirmed future games against Duke (ACC) in 2026, Virginia (ACC) in 2027, Wisconsin (Big Ten) in 2028, and Old Dominion (Sun Belt) in 2029.
