Austin Peay, SEMO, and UC Davis Add Future FBS Foes; SWAC Unveils Streaming Network

Three FCS teams have added future games against the FBS, starting with Southeast Missouri State (OVC-Big South). The Redhawks will play at the Kansas Jayhawks (Big 12) in week one of the 2027 season, although a date hasn’t been set according to FBSchedules. Kansas previously defeated SEMO in 2014 and 2017 in the only previous meetings.

SEMO now has future games against the FBS each year through 2030. The Redhawks will face Arkansas State (Sun Belt) in 2025, Iowa State (Big 12) in 2026, Kansas in 2027, Missouri (SEC) in 2028 and 2030, and Ole Miss (SEC) in 2029. Kansas will take on Wagner (NEC) in 2025, SEMO in 2027, Lindenwood (OVC-Big South) in 2028, and Colgate (Patriot) in 2029.

The Austin Peay Governors (UAC) have added a game against the Indiana Hoosiers (Big Ten) for Saturday, September 2, 2028, per FBSchedules. It will be the first meeting between the two schools in football. The Governors have future games against Middle Tennessee (C-USA) and Georgia (SEC) in 2025, along with Vanderbilt (SEC) in 2026. Indiana will welcome Indiana State (MVFC) in 2025 and 2027, Austin Peay in 2028, and Eastern Illinois (OVC-Big South) in 2029.

Another 2028 game was added between the UC Davis Aggies (Big Sky) and the Washington State Cougars (Pac-12) for Saturday, September 2, again courtesy of FBSchedules. This will also be the first meeting between the two schools in football. UC Davis has at least one FBS opponent lined up for the next five seasons: Washington (Big Ten) in 2025, SMU (ACC) in 2026, UCLA (Big Ten) in 2027 and 2029, and Washington State in 2028. The Cougars have their FCS opponents set for each season through 2030: Idaho (Big Sky) in 2025, 2027, and 2029, Duquesne (NEC) in 2026, UC Davis in 2028, and Eastern Washington (Big Sky) in 2030.

Finally, the SWAC announced it will launch a free streaming service on August 1, which will showcase events from around the league. The new service will showcase 45 football games for the 2025 season, starting with the Southern at Mississippi Valley State matchup on Saturday, August 4, and concluding with the Turkey Day Classic between Tuskegee and Alabama State on Thursday, November 27. The full slate of football games to be shown on SWAC TV can be found here. Each team will make at least two appearances on SWAC TV, led by Mississippi Valley State and Prairie View A&M with 10 each. Jackson State will make the fewest appearances at 2, while Alcorn State and Florida A&M are next lowest at 4 apiece.
