Sean Goldrich will return to the New Hampshire Wildcats to take over the football program. Goldrich spent the previous four seasons at Delaware as an assistant coach.
Goldrich played quarterback for the Wildcats from 2012 through 2015, throwing for more than 7,500 yards, rushing for more than 1,100 yards, and scoring 67 touchdowns (47 passing, 20 rushing). He spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears during the offseason before playing two seasons in the Indoor Football League.
He embarked on his college coaching career in 2018 at the University of New England as the wide receivers coach. In 2019, he joined Yale‘s staff as an offensive quality control analyst. In 2020, he was promoted to the wide receivers and assistant special teams coach. Goldrich spent three seasons at Yale from 2019 through 2021.
He joined Delaware’s coaching staff in 2022 as the quarterbacks coach. He added passing game coordinator duties for 2024, followed by becoming the recruiting coordinator in 2025. Delaware’s passing game improved from 2024 to 2025, going from 253 to 292 yards per game. Delaware quarterback Nick Minicucci was named second-team All-CUSA in 2025, while wide receiver Kyre Duplessis was named to the first-team, and WR Sean Wilson was named to the All-Freshman team.
Goldrich will replace Rick Santos as head coach. Santos had a successful tenure with the Wildcats, going 31-19 overall, 23-9 in CAA games, and reaching the FCS playoffs three times. Santos left UNH to take the head coaching role at Penn, which was vacated when Ray Priore resigned. The Wildcats are slated to start the 2026 season on the road at Syracuse (ACC) on Saturday, September 5.
