The Stetson Hatters released their full 2024 schedule on Wednesday including a pair of NAIA opponents. Stetson will start the season at home against Ave Maria University (Ave Maria, Florida) on Saturday, August 31 followed by Warner University (Lake Wales, Florida) on Saturday, September 7. The matchup against Warner was previously unknown.
Stetson and Warner have faced off four times with all four matchups occurring since 2013. Stetson is 4-0 in those games with an average winning score of 38 to 12. Stetson has also defeated Ave Maria in both previous matches by an average score of 55-19. Both schools play in the NAIA’s Sun Confernece. As of this posting, the FCS is scheduled to play 53 games against Non-Division I opponents in 2024. The Pioneer Football League leads all FCS conferences with 16 matchups.
The remainder of Stetson’s 2024 schedule is against FCS competition including road games at Furman and Harvard to end the non-conference portion. The Hatters have a bye week on September 28 before ending the 2024 season with 8 straight weeks against PFL foes.
