The Mountain West signed a TV rights deal with TNT Sports that will result in three more FCS versus FBS matchups being televised in 2024. The three matchups that will be broadcast on truTV and Max will feature Idaho, Sacramento State, and Texas A&M-Commerce.
- Sacramento State at San Jose State on Thursday, August 29 (10 PM ET kickoff)
- Texas A&M-Commerce at San Diego State on Saturday, August 31 (8 PM ET kickoff)
- Idaho at Wyoming on Saturday, September 7 (4:30 PM ET kickoff)
A total of 121 FCS versus FBS matchups are slated for the 2024 season. A full list of all future FCS-FBS contests, including 2024, can be found here.
Texas A&M-Commerce and Prairie View A&M have finalized a home-and-home series for the next two seasons, according to FBSchedules. Commerce was already slated to travel to Prairie View this season on Saturday, October 26, 2024, and will now have a return game in 2025. The Lions will host Prairie View next season on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Texas A&M-Commerce won all four games in the series that was played annually from 1974 through 1977.
Cal Poly and Colgate have rescheduled the final half of their home-and-home series for a second time, as noted by FBSchedules. The two teams were scheduled to meet in 2020 but that game was canceled due to the pandemic and rescheduled for September 13, 2025. The second half of the home-and-home has been pushed back one more year to Saturday, September 5, 2026, with Colgate hosting. Cal Poly won the first meeting in 2017 by a score of 20-14.
