The CAA released its 2025 schedule and three new FBS matchups were revealed for the first two weeks of the season. Bryant has added New Mexico State (C-USA) and Massachusetts (MAC) while Elon will play against Duke (ACC).
Bryant will open the season against New Mexico State on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in the first matchup between the two schools. The following week, Bryant will play at Massachusetts on Saturday, September 6. It will be the second meeting between the schools following the 2008 matchup. UMass was still in the FCS at the time and defeated Bryant 42-7.
As for Elon, they will also open the season against an FBS opponent when they travel to Duke on Saturday, August 30. The two teams met in 2024 as well with Duke winning 26-3. The Blue Devils haven’t lost a game in the all-time series dating back to 1920 with an 8-0-1 record. The number of FCS-FBS matchups for 2025 is nearing the record of 121 set in the 2024 season.
