Davidson Releases 2025 Schedule, Adds NAIA Team

The Davidson Wildcats (Pioneer Football League) unveiled their 2025 schedule, featuring 11 FCS opponents and one NAIA team. The Wildcats went 6-5 overall and 4-4 in the PFL last season and welcome head coach Saj Thakkar to the sidelines for the upcoming campaign.

Davidson will start the 2025 season on August 30 at home against Georgetown (Patriot) followed by back-to-back road tests against Elon (CAA) on September 6 and Tennessee Tech (OVC-Big South) on September 13. The Wildcats will also have a home game against the NAIA’s St. Andrews Knights on September 20 to complete the non-conference slate. The Wildcats and Knights have played twice previously in 2022 and 2023 with Davidson winning both contests easily. The Knights compete in the NAIA’s Appalachian Athletic Conference for football.

After an open week on September 27, Davidson will start PFL competition with a road game at Stetson on October 4. The Wildcats will then play at home versus St. Thomas on October 11, at Drake on October 18, and home to San Diego on October 25. The final month of the regular season will see Davidson play at Morehead State on November 1, host Presbyterian on November 8, play at Marist on November 15, and welcome Dayton in the finale on November 22.
