The Howard Bison (MEAC) and Morehouse Maroon Tigers (SIAC) have scheduled a 2025 matchup. The two sides will meet at the neutral site of MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Saturday, September 13 in the 2025 HBCU NY Classic.
Howard and Morehouse have met 40 times since the first game in 1923. The Bison are 28-10-2 all-time in the series including the 35-21 victory over Morehouse in the 2024 HBCU NY Classic. Morehouse is a member of the NCAA Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
Howard hasn’t released its full 2025 schedule but the season opener will be against the Florida A&M Rattlers (SWAC) in the Orange Blossom Classic on August 30. The Bison will play at Temple (American) on September 6, have a natural site game in Washington, DC against Hampton (CAA) on September 20, and play at Richmond (Patriot) on September 27. Howard also has a game at Tennessee State (OVC-Big South) on October 18.
Howard currently isn’t slated to play a true home game at Greene Stadium until October at the earliest. The Bison went 4-8 overall and 1-4 in the MEAC last year.
