The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats (SWAC) released their 2025 schedule, including three games outside the Football Championship Subdivision. The Wildcats went 2-10 overall and 2-6 in the SWAC in 2024.
Bethune-Cookman will start the season with a pair of FBS opponents. First up is the Florida International Panthers (C-USA) on Saturday, August 30 in the season opener for both teams. This will be the 5th matchup all-time between the schools and Bethune-Cookman won the previous four matchups between 2002 and 2014.
BCU will play a second straight FBS opponent on September 6 with a trip to Coral Gables against Miami (FL) from the ACC. The non-conference road trips do not end there as the Wildcats will face South Carolina State (MEAC) in Orangeburg, South Carolina on September 13. BCU’s non-conference slate will end on September 20 with NCAA Division II Edward Waters coming to Daytona Beach. EWU is a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
The first SWAC game will be on September 27 at home against Alabama A&M followed by a matchup at Alabama State on October 4. BCU will then play three straight home games against Southern on October 11, Arkansas-Pine Bluff on October 25, and Mississippi Valley State on November 1. The regular season will end with two road games at Grambling State on November 8 and Jackson State on November 15 followed by a neutral site game versus Florida A&M on November 22. BCU and FAMU will play in the Florida Blue Florida Classic at Camping World Stadium.
