The Florida A&M Rattlers (SWAC) have rescheduled their game against the Florida Gators (SEC) to the 2030 season, per FBSchedules. The two teams will meet on Saturday, August 31, 2030.
The two schools were originally set to meet on Saturday, August 30, 2025, but the Gators ended up scheduling Long Island (NEC) to start the 2025 season. Meanwhile, Florida A&M scheduled Howard (MEAC) on August 30 in the Orange Blossom Classic, leaving the Florida contest in limbo. If the schools meet in 2030, it will be the second meeting after Florida demolished the Rattlers 63-3 in the 2003 contest.
Florida A&M is set to face numerous FBS opponents through the end of the decade, starting with Florida Atlantic (American) in 2025. The Rattlers will also play Miami (FL) (ACC) in 2026, a pair of American teams in UAB and South Florida in 2027, and Georgia (SEC) in 2028. Florida A&M also has a game against South Alabama (Sun Belt) that was previously scheduled for 2025, but a new date has not been announced.
Florida will take on Long Island this season, Campbell (CAA) in 2026, Charleston Southern (OVC-Big South) in 2027, and Furman (SoCon) in 2028. The Gators are 25-1 all-time against FCS/I-AA foes since the creation of subdivision in 1978. The lone loss came against Georgia Southern in 2013, then a SoCon member, by a score of 26-20.
