Morgan State Adds NCAA Division II Central State to 2025 Schedule

The Morgan State Bears (MEAC) have added the Central State Marauders to their 2025 schedule. Central State will make the trip to Baltimore, Maryland, to play at Morgan State on Saturday, September 20.

Central State is a member of the NCAA Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). According to Morgan State’s records, the two schools have met 13 times since 1951, with the Marauders holding a 10-3 lead in the series. The most recent game was in 1996 when Central State defeated Morgan State by a point, 18-17, in the season opener.

Morgan State will face two additional non-Division I opponents in 2025, including another SIAC member. The week after playing against Central State, Morgan State will play Miles College in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, September 27. The Bears will also take on Virginia-Lynchburg from the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) at home on Saturday, October 11. A total of 63 games featuring FCS versus Non-Division I schools are scheduled for the 2025 season.

Morgan State went 6-6 overall and 3-2 in the MEAC during the 2024 season. The Bears will begin the 2025 campaign on Saturday, August 30, at South Alabama (Sun Belt).
