The Murray State Racers and Georgia State Panthers have moved their opening week game from Saturday, September 5 to Thursday, September 3.
No specific reason was provided for the change of date. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 PM Eastern Time.
The Racers and Panthers have met once before on the football field in 2011 when Georgia State was in its second season as a football program. Murray State raced out to a 35-10 lead early in the third quarter and cruised to a 48-24 victory.
Murray State is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference. They went 4-8 overall and 2-6 in the OVC last season. Georgia State went 7-6 overall and 4-4 in the Sun Belt Conference in 2019.
