The Morehead State Eagles will add a second National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) opponent to the 2024 schedule as first reported by FBSchedules. The Eagles will host Kentucky Christian on Saturday, September 7.
KCU is a member of the NAIA’s Mid-South Conference and has been a frequent name on Morehead State’s schedule. The two teams first met in 2011 and have played five times with Morehead State winning all five matchups by an average score of 55-12.
The Eagles will start the 2024 season with a home game against Union College (Kentucky) on Saturday, August 31. Union is a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference in football and will be the debut of Morehead State’s new coach Jason Woodman. Morehead State will round out the non-conference slate with back-to-back road games against Montana on Saturday, September 14 and Eastern Kentucky on Saturday, September 21.
Morehead State is one of 42 FCS programs to have a non-Division I opponent scheduled for the 2024 season. A full list of those matchups can be found here.
