The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its ESPN lineup for the 2024 season. The SWAC will have 34 games shown on ESPN networks including a Week 0 game involving Florida A&M and Norfolk State on ABC. On September 1, ESPN will broadcast North Carolina Central versus Alabama State.
The SWAC schedule ends with three nationally televised games on linear networks. Tuskegee and Alabama State will play on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28) on ESPNU, the SWAC Championship will be shown on ESPN2 on Saturday, December 7, and the final game will be the Celebration Bowl on Saturday, December 14 on ABC.
According to FBSchedules, William & Mary will travel to play Duke on Saturday, September 26, 2026. William & Mary will receive $400,000 for the contest. The two teams haven’t played since 1955 when Duke won 47-7 while William & Mary holds a 6-1 advantage in the series. There are over 445 FCS-FBS matchups scheduled through the 2034 season including a record 121 contests in 2024. A full list of all future FCS-FBS matchups can be found here.
