Stephen F. Austin and Abilene Christian have announced a home-and-home series for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. This series replaces SFA’s home-and-home series against Montana State for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, which was canceled by the Lumberjacks in May. SFA will host the 2024 contest on Saturday, November 23 while Abilene Christian will host in 2025 on Saturday, September 13. The scheduling changes came as a result of Stephen F. Austin’s move from the United Athletic Conference to the Southland Conference, which is effective with the 2024-25 academic year.
In other Southland scheduling news, McNeese has scheduled a home-and-home against Alcorn State in 2026 and 2027. Per FBSchedules, Alcorn State will host the first contest on Saturday, September 19, 2026 while McNeese will host the second matchup on Saturday, September 4, 2027. The two teams have met five previous times with McNeese winning the first four games and Alcorn State capturing the most recent game in 2022 by a score of 30-19.
Finally, Western Carolina has added a 2026 game against Cincinnati, according to FBSchedules.
