Montana State (Big Sky) has finalized its 2025 schedule with two additions and one game shifted to a later season. The Bobcats have added San Diego (Pioneer) for Saturday, September 13, replacing the Stephen F. Austin game canceled earlier in 2024. The Bobcats will also host Mercyhurst (Northeast) on Saturday, September 20 for the second straight season. A game versus Drake (Pioneer) scheduled for the 2025 season has been moved to 2027. The Bobcats are 4-0 all-time against San Diego dating back to 1957 and 3-1 versus Drake dating back to 1940.
Eastern Kentucky (United Athletic) has swapped out an FBS opponent for the 2025 season. EKU was originally scheduled to meet Appalachian State (Sun Belt) on Saturday, September 13 but the opponent has been changed to Marshall (Sun Belt), according to the Thundering Herd’s 2025 schedule reveal. EKU and Marshall have met 21 previous times with Marshall holding a 12-8-1 lead in the all-time series that began in 1926.
Wagner (Northeast) has added Massachusetts (MAC) for a game in 2028, according to FBSchedules. Wagner will play at UMass on Saturday, September 9 and receive $300,000 for the matchup. UMass won both previous matchups versus Wagner by a score of 77-0 in 193 and 34-10 in 2016. Wagner recently added Kansas to its 2025 schedule and has matchups against Central Michigan (MAC) in 2025 and James Madison (Sun Belt) in 2028 lined up.
