Howard (MEAC) has scheduled a 2025 game against the Temple Owls (American Athletic). According to OwlsDaily, no date has been officially revealed. Howard and Temple have met once previously in 1991 when the Owls won decisively 40-0.
Temple will have a new head coach in 2025 with K.C. Keeler taking over. Keeler is quite familiar with the FCS having coached at Delaware from 2002 through 2012 and Sam Houston State from 2014 through 2024 (the Bearkats joined the FBS in 2023). Keeler won the 2003 I-AA National Championship and the 2020-21 FCS National Championship.
Temple has one other future game against FCS opponent Rhode Island (CAA) set for Saturday, September 5, 2026. Howard has future FBS games against Rutgers (Big Ten) in 2026 and San Jose State (Mountain West) in 2028. There are over 370 future FCS versus FBS games scheduled including 112 for the 2025 season.
