West Georgia Adds Kennesaw State in 2026

The West Georgia Wolves (UAC) will play at the Kennesaw State Owls (C-USA) in 2026, according to an announcement made by both teams. The two programs will meet on Saturday, September 5, in UWG’s first game against an FBS opponent.

West Georgia and Kennesaw State have never met previously in football. The Owls were a member of the FCS from 2015 through 2023 and joined Conference USA beginning in 2024. West Georgia joined the FCS and the United Athletic Conference in 2024.

Kennesaw State was 0-5 against FBS teams when it was a member of the FCS. Last year, the Owls lost to UT Martin 24-13 in their first game against the FCS as an FBS member. Kennesaw State is slated to play against Merrimack (FCS Independent) in 2025 and Towson (CAA) in 2028.

West Georgia will play at Arkansas State (Sun Belt) in 2026, a week after facing Kennesaw State. They also have games scheduled against Cincinnati (Big 12) in 2027 and Troy (Sun Belt) in 2028.
