Central Arkansas to Face Florida State in 2026

The Central Arkansas Bears (UAC) will play against the Florida State Seminoles (ACC) in 2026, according to FBSchedules. The two teams will meet on Saturday, September 26, and UCA will receive $450,000 for the contest.

It will be the first meeting between the two schools in football. Central Arkansas is set to face off against Missouri (SEC) in the 2025 season but doesn’t have any additional FBS opponents beyond FSU in 2026. UCA’s most recent win against the FBS came in 2019 when they defeated Western Kentucky 35-28.

Florida State only has one other FCS opponent lined up: East Texas A&M (Southland) on Saturday, September 6, in the upcoming season. FSU has lost only once to an FCS team and that was against Jacksonville State in 2021. The Gamecocks won on the final play of the game when Zerrick Cooper hit Philyaw-Johnson at the FSU 20, followed by Johnson making some moves to avoid the defenders and reach the end zone as time expired.

There are now 100 FCS versus FBS games set for 2026 with the addition of Central Arkansas and Florida State.
