The East Tennessee State Buccaneers (SoCon) will play against the Florida State Seminoles (ACC) in 2027, according to FBSchedules. ETSU will travel to Tallahassee, Florida, on Saturday, November 20, 2027, and receive $525,000 for the game. It will be the first matchup between the two schools in football.
ETSU has an FBS opponent lined up for each of the next three seasons. The Buccaneers will face Tennessee (SEC) in 2025, North Carolina (ACC) in 2026, and FSU in 2027. The same applies to the Seminoles for FCS opponents. FSU will take on East Texas A&M (Southland) this season, Central Arkansas (UAC) in 2026, and ETSU in 2027.
There are over 425 FCS versus FBS games scheduled between 2025 and 2034. A full list of those games can be found here, including the 71 known FCS-FBS matchups in 2027.
