Charleston Southern finalized their 2020 schedule by adding Mercer and North Greenville.
The Buccaneers will start the season at home on September 5 against North Greenville, a Division II opponent. The Crusaders went 3-7 overall and 2-6 in the Gulf South Conference. CSU holds a 12-2 record over the Crusaders.
CSU will go on the road to play Mercer on November 14. It will mark the first time that the two teams will play each other. Mercer went 4-6 overall and 3-5 in the Southern Conference in 2019.
Charleston Southern also has a road game at Arkansas on October 3. This will also be the first time the two teams have met in football.
Charleston Southern went 6-6 in 2019 and 4-2 in the Big South, which was good enough for third in the standings. The Bucs finished the season on a four game win streak.
