The Wyoming Cowboys made a scheduling announcement involving two FCS teams from the Big Sky Conference for 2024 and 2025.
Wyoming will face off against Idaho in Laramie on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The two teams have met eight times previously including a close 21-16 win for Wyoming last season. The Cowboys have an overall lead of 7 to 1 in the series.
Wyoming also rescheduled a 2024 contest against Cal Poly to the 2025 season. The new date for that contest is Saturday, August 30. Cal Poly defeated Wyoming 24-22 in the only previous meeting back in 2012. The Mustangs took a 14-0 lead after the first quarter while Wyoming came back to score 15 unanswered in the second quarter to take a 15-14 lead at halftime.
Wyoming faces FCS foes Weber State (2020), Montana State (2021), Northern Colorado (2022), and Portland State (2023) over the next four seasons.
Idaho will have plenty of competition against FBS opposition over the next several seasons as they will play two FBS teams in each of the next four seasons. They face Temple (2020), Washington State (2020, 2022, and 2025), Indiana (2021 and 2022), Oregon State (2021), Nevada (2023), California (2023), and Oregon (2024).
Cal Poly will play against Louisiana-Monroe (2020), California (2020), Fresno State (2021 and 2022), and San Jose State (2023).
