Towson and UC Davis Schedule FBS Opponents; North Alabama Schedules D-II Opponent for 2025

Towson has scheduled in-state opponent Maryland two more times in 2028 and 2030. The two schools will also meet on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Towson will travel to College Park on Saturday, September 2, 2028 and Saturday, September 14, 2030. Despite the proximity to each other, the two teams have only met three times in 2011, 2017, and 2023. Maryland won all three contests by an average score of 43-9.

UC Davis will play at UCLA on Saturday, September 1, 2029, according to FBSchedules. UC Davis will receive $575,000 for the matchup, which will be the third all-time between the Aggies and Bruins. UCLA won both previous matchups in 1932 and 1934. In addition, the UC Davis-UCLA matchup scheduled for 2027 has been changed from Saturday, August 28 to Saturday, September 4.

Finally, North Alabama has added an NCAA Division II opponent to its 2025 schedule as the Lions will host Northeastern State on Saturday, September 20 as noted on NSU’s website and first reported by FBSchedules. NSU is competing temporarily as a Division II independent. North Alabama and Northeastern State have not played one another in football despite both programs spending two decades at the D-II level.

Over 445 FCS versus FBS games have been scheduled through the 2034 season including a record 121 contests in 2024. A full list of all future FCS-FBS matchups can be found here.
