Each year some FCS members look outside the Division I umbrella to fill out their football schedules and the 2025 season will be no different. FCS teams are slated to play 49 games against non-Division I opponents in 2025 with matchups versus NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, NCCAA, and a handful against non-affiliated teams. Unlike 2024, there are currently no FCS teams that will play on the road during the 2025 campaign. There were 58 matchups scheduled between FCS and non-Division I teams but only 57 were played due to the canceled Quincy–Drake game.
43 FCS teams will play against 40 different non-Division I opponents from 18 different conferences outside Division I in 2025. 7 teams – Alabama State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Delaware State, Morgan State, Stetson, UTRGV, and Valparaiso – have 2 or more games against non-DI opponents. No FCS school currently has more than two for the 2025 season as of this posting.
The full table of FCS versus Non-Division I games is listed below. Additional charts are provided near the bottom of the page that show a breakdown of the subdivision’s games against the other affiliations and each FCS conference’s Non-DI opponents.
