The Northeast Conference announced the four games that will be featured on ESPN+ for the 2024 season. One conference game from weeks three, six, seven, and nine will be shown while each NEC team will be featured once. A complete list of the matchups, kickoff time, and date are provided below.
- Mercyhurst at Robert Morris, 12 PM ET on Saturday, September 14
- Wagner at Stonehill, 1 PM ET on Saturday, October 5
- Duquesne at Saint Francis (PA), 12 PM ET on Saturday, October 12
- Central Connecticut State at Long Island, 12 PM ET on Saturday, October 26
In other FCS scheduling news, Sacramento State (Big Sky) and San Diego (Pioneer Football League) have scheduled a three-game series, according to FBSchedules. Sacramento State will host the first game on Saturday, September 11, 2027, while San Diego will host the final two games of the series. Those two contests will be played on Saturday, September 9, 2028, and Saturday, September 7, 2030. Despite the relative proximity of the schools, they have never previously played in football.
Sacramento State has also changed its 2026 contest against Oregon State (Pac-2/12). The game was previously scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026, but that has been moved to Saturday, September 1, 2029. The all-time series is split at 1-1 between the Hornets and Beavers. OSU won the first game in 2003 by a score of 40-7 while Sacramento State pulled the upset in 2011 when it won 29-28 in overtime.
Two future FCS games against Virginia (ACC) have been moved as well. The 2026 contest between Norfolk State (MEAC) and Virginia has been moved from Saturday, November 21 to Saturday, September 12. In 2028, Richmond’s (Patriot League) game at Virginia has been moved from Saturday, September 9 to Saturday, September 23.
