Temple has added FCS opponents Wagner in 2021 and Norfolk State in 2023 to their future schedules.
Tentatively, the Owls will face Wagner on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at home. They will play at home versus Norfolk State on Saturday, September 16, 2023. Both games are the first meeting for the respective schools versus Temple.
The addition of Wagner and Norfolk State means Temple will face at least one FCS team each season from 2020 through 2023. The Owls have Idaho scheduled for this upcoming season and Lafayette in 2022.
Wagner finished 1-11 overall with a 1-6 record in the Northeast Conference for the 2019 season. It was the the third straight losing season for the Seahawks. Wagner currently has three additional FBS opponents on their future schedules: Miami (FL) (2020), Buffalo (2021), and Massachusetts (2024).
Norfolk State finished the 2019 season with a 5-7 record and 5th in the MEAC with a 4-4 conference record. The Spartans face FBS opponents East Carolina (2020), Toledo (2021), Wake Forest (2021), Marshall (2022), and Vanderbilt (2024) in the coming seasons.
