The contest between the TCU Horned Frogs and Tarleton State Texans originally scheduled for Saturday, September 4, 2021 has been moved back to Saturday, September 10, 2022 per FBSchedules.
The reason for the change is due to Tarleton State not meeting the requirements of a Division I opponent that would count towards bowl eligibility. The NCAA denied TCU’s request for a waiver despite the support of Tarleton State, which led to the change of date. TCU has Prairie View on the schedule for 2020 along with Nicholls in 2023.
Tarleton State continues to fill in their future Division I schedules as they will play as an FCS Independent. They begin the first of a four year transition in 2020. They open this season at Sam Houston State on Saturday, September 5.
