Another day, another trio of FCS scheduling items. Lindenwood announced it will play at Minnesota on Saturday, September 18, 2027. Lindenwood now has five FBS opponents on its books with Kansas in 2024 and 2028, Miami (OH) in 2025, and Eastern Michigan in 2026. This year’s game at Kansas will be Lindenwood’s first matchup against an FBS opponent.
Also scheduled for 2027 was Norfolk State’s trip to Old Dominion on Saturday, September 4, according to FBSchedules. Norfolk State will receive $320,000 for the game in what is currently scheduled to be the sixth meeting between the two programs. Old Dominion holds a 4-0 record in the series and the two teams will match up on Saturday, September 5, 2026 for the fifth meeting. There are 445 FCS versus FBS games that have been scheduled through the 2034 season including a record 121 contests in 2024. A full list of all future FCS-FBS matchups can be found here.
The final scheduling item is also courtesy of FBSchedules. Eastern Kentucky will host Dayton on Saturday, September 19, 2026 with Dayton receiving $125,000 for the contest. EKU holds a 4-3 all-time lead in the series but the two schools haven’t played since 1981 when the Colonels won 14-3 at home.
