The Dixie State Trailblazers will play against Fresno State in 2027 according to a release by Fresno State.
The game between Fresno State and Dixie State is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 28. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
Fresno State recently added Cal Poly to their 2022 schedule and will also face the Mustangs in 2021. The Bulldogs also have Sacramento State scheduled for 2024 and 2026.
Dixie State will compete at the Division I level beginning in 2020. They will compete in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in all sports except football where they will compete as an Independent. The Trailblazers were part of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) through the 2019 season.
Dixie State has been filling out their future schedules in high frequency over the past few months as a result of the transition. The Trailblazers currently have FBS teams New Mexico State (2021), BYU (2022), Colorado State (2023), and Utah (2028 and 2030) on their future schedules.
