McNeese defensive lineman Cody Roscoe announced his intention to transfer to Syracuse for the 2020 season.
Roscoe started at McNeese in 2017 with 7 appearances as a true freshman. He recorded 19 tackles, 7 tackles-for-loss, 2.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and even intercepted a pass.
He became a full-time starter in 2018 as he finished the season with 33 tackles, 8 tackles-for-loss, 4.5 sacks, and 1 fumble forced. He was a menace in the backfield in 2019 as well. He had 42 tackles, 11 tackles-for-loss, and 9 sacks in 12 games.
McNeese begins the 2020 season against Louisiana on Saturday, September 5. It will be the first game in charge for new head coach Frank Wilson.
