Dixie State Schedules Two Future FCS Opponents

Dixie State, a 2020 newcomer to the FCS level, has added the Missouri Valley Football Conference duo of Northern Iowa and Illinois State to their future football schedule per FBSchedules.

Dixie State will play Northern Iowa in a home-and-home series on October 15, 2022 in Iowa and in Utah on November 15, 2025.

The home-and-home series between Dixie State and Illinois State will take place on November 18, 2023 in Illinois before the return game is played on September 12, 2026 in Utah.

Dixie State will compete at the Division I level beginning in 2020. They will compete in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in all sports except football where they will compete as an Independent. The Trailblazers were part of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) through the 2019 season.

The first season of Division I football for Dixie State will feature 8 FCS and three Division II opponents. They will kickoff their inaugural FCS season on September 5, 2020 with a home game against in-state foe Southern Utah.
